Kayley Parker | Relationship Manager

What is your title/responsibilities with WOH?

I work with mentees and mentors! I get to know them personally, train them, help to foster their relationship, celebrate their wins and pray for them!

Mentorship has had such an impact on the person I am today. In every season of my life I have been blessed with fantastic mentors who continue to influence my life. When I was living in Northern Virginia I had the opportunity to serve as a mentor for a young mom through the program DC127 and truly fell in love with the experience and the potential that it had for changing lives. I'm praying for some big life changes and connections and looking forward to seeing the relationships grow!

What background do you have with the foster community?

Our family has loved being the Village for foster families for years now! We love to provide respite care and babysitting for foster families. It is a blessing to us to see the energy and connection it affords foster families to continue on in their mission. Additionally as a former Special Education teacher in the public school system I often had the opportunity to teach at least 1 or 2 children in the foster system every year and they remain on my heart to this day!

What is the most rewarding aspect of what you do at WOH?

It is such a blessing to get a front row seat to watch someone's life change! I get to cheer on wins big and small and also stand beside mentees and mentors in the hard moments. It's a joy to be that type of support for someone!
