“I am married, we have 2 children,m ages 3 and 5. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 5 years. My children have a light that can not be contained.

I was raised by my mother in Minnesota and I was her only child. She was a foster parent for 9 years and did respite care. My mother loved serving others and she was very resourceful. She passed away in 2012. In 2018, I moved to Virginia to be closer with my amazing father. I am blessed to have had an invaluable mother for 22 years. I am reaping so many benefits and relationships right now because of seeds she planted.”

Why did you choose to join the Wild Oak Haven Team?

“Since graduating college, the primary pull factor for every career position has been to help others. I am driven by reward and fulfillment. I believe in the mission of Wild Oak Haven. The population being served has a need that I believe I can help with.”

What are a few things you enjoy outside of work?  

“Survivor is my favorite TV show, I love board games, rollercoasters, and dancing.”

Do you have a favorite quote, motto, or life philosophy?

“Almost daily, I recite to my kids ‘It’s nice to be nice.’ Kind gestures can be so impactful, they make a difference.

I often make mental note to myself to leave a person, place, situation better than when I started. When people leave my presence or home I want them to feel lighter.”
